I love my Dad’s dad.

I was his first grandkid, too. He drank gin like a fish and smoked like a chimney, tho.

I think… the closer he got to 60 the more his body rejected all the toxins he was consuming. Even freshly scrubbed and not smoking due to the Emphysema and Bronchitis that made him walk around with a tank he reeked of the decades of tar & nicotine still fighting their ways out of his pores. I remember his favorite soap and cologne too, but it was with him that I learned that the damage all that smoking & drinking does to your pH level & biome can be almost irreversible.

Had a weird experience today. Smelled someone I’ve come to avoid out of common sense. When I placed what was so off-putting as that die-off …I just felt sorry for him.

I wonder if he’s even noticed the pH shift?

Like , if the people in his pocket & purview are wrinkling their noses in shock at his obliviousness or has he reeked so long of cigarette butts that they just breathe shallow when he’s around. I wonder if he even knows how to detox so he can get that scent out of his sweat & blood, or if he’s too arrogant to look into it, thinking that the chicks who are “fine with it” are doin anything other than biding their time and scouring the skunk of his touch out of their hair after spending any fair amount of time with him behind closed doors. Would he even notice breath being held? Or does he make so much money that it indemnifies the whole thing?

You’ve gotta take care of yourselves, guys. Point of no return can be a real place. Your body will wring it out of itself on the road to perdition Or desiccation. If you won’t.
