with a sleepy smile on my ” #49yearsold for 9 mo’ days” face~

From the beginning of this year, thru Mexico and that election,  the LA fires hitting my workflow, my friends and beyond…

My 49th year has been intense,
epic, chaotic, crazy- beautiful… & wild.
Yet with this honest clarity and somehow, even in all of that… #calm.

But…the greatest gift God gave me… was witnessing the hearts of #youpeople shine through all of it.

#todäysrealitychęck is that #AOLAB  girded our loins for the spin-out (because it’s been f ureaking batshitcrazy all over the place~)… but at Every turn I watched #wethepeople  #riseup For one another in ways I’ve not seen before.

From as bewildered shoulders to lean on over the shift in & capitulation to《” power”》, ” to the hands held & help offered by businesses,  neighbors & strangers all over #losangeles  because of the #LAfires…

Look- I’m just a cynical, wildly happy I’m about to be 50, former #newyorker #urbanhippie #blackwoman exploring CA~

But the way y’all who matter rose up to help one another healed the recesses of my cynical ny heart.

#LA , you deserve your props for how you cared on each other when the unthinkable happened.

Lots were worried no one could be about that life out here in Southern California,  but damned near Everyone I saw got the memo. & those who didn’t just didn’t matter & couldn’t stop your shine.

…It was FN beautiful to get to witness.

I feel honored I got to see ALL of LA care like this. & this is a #virgo writing this. I sugarcoat for no one lol- so #takeyourmedicine~Sometimes it’s delicious.

y’all should be fn proud.

Y’all being here for each other was the greatest gift of my #49th year,  no cap.

It was straight up #AOLAB, #angelbrynner style: “#goseedoserve… & see what comes out of you.”

Off to bask in the #mosthigh 💋 my forehead for a year’s race well run💓.
