The Gala is what it is. Always has been. & there’s no point in dogging a goose for not being a pigeon.
Fuck the Gala. Go see what the fuck they raise the funds For.
The Actuality of the Costume Institute’s EXHIBITION usually had some of the most imaginative displays of clothing in a gallery setting that you’ll see. A masterclass in set design, costume design & event design most years.

I used to go to the Met as they were setting the shows Up back in the day, just to study What they were going to Do with the gear. & then I’d go in early summer & just watch the flow of tourists through the show.
The Only window displays thaaat came anywhere near what they used to do were the Japanese brand flagships down in Tribeca, burn the box-wise. Fuck Out the box.
I’d bet 85% of those griping about Shaboozey’s badly tailored new clothes have no idea there’s a literal huge art installation keyed to the theme that may do the topic of manhood a bit better. But only because they’d walk rough & raw through it self-guided, bringing all of themselves to what they are seeing.
There WAS a potent way forward with this theme, boots on the ground.
Fuck the noise. I hope they nailed it.
