Let’s cook and Cleanse together: The Heavy Metal cleanse regimen

Metaphysically speaking…everyone taking a minute to re-center their systems and processes around worry and obsessiveness could be effective for the collective ecosystem right about now.

Because guess what?

It’s November 13th. This shit still isn’t done, even when it looks like it.

Due to the Narcissistic triangulation enacted upon us inadvertently or not by the media during the insanity of 2020, an overload of worrying and obsessiveness has become a norm that stopping cold-turkey may be hard to navigate. The habit of doom-scrolling needs to be faced and put down like the rabid dawg it is.

The things laid bare in our culture have to be addressed. But we are all fucking overloaded and need to put the worry down and staycation the fuck out for a bit before burnout hits us all as a country. We gotta recalibrate our connections to this feed so that we can do what needs to be done next effectively…

This week: The Heavy Metal Cleanse regime.

Exposure to toxic heavy metals is believed to be a contributing factor, if not a root cause, of symptoms like low energy, mood disturbances and cognitive changes. Heavy metals first enter your bloodstream from exposure to farmed fish, contaminated water, dental fillings and household products. These metals then travel throughout your body and penetrate the cells of various tissues and organs, where they can remain stored up for years!

Following a heavy metal detox plan is one of the best ways to start reversing symptoms. One thing to be aware of, however, is that while you work on overcoming metal poisoning, you might actually notice some symptoms getting worse before they get better. Some foods can help you detoxify by getting rid of heavy metals from your body by binding to the metals and yanking them out of your system via your digestive tract. Foods Like cilantro, garlic, wild blueberries, lemon water, spirulina, chlorella, green tea, barley grass juice powder, atlantic dulse, curry, tomatoes, and probiotics support heavy metals detoxification. Bone broth heals your gut.

If you can’t get the above in natural form never feel weird about relying on supplementation. I keep powdered greens in rotation in my self-care rubric. But when it’s full-frontal heavy metal cleanse time I up the ante with cilantro and chlorella supplements.

Me personally? I adore cilantro. I buy loads of it as one of my main salad greens most of the year, spliced with arugula or pea shoots when I can get them locally.
