Why would you be able to key into the gut wrench loving can be housed in a song when the variants of love you’ve been exposed to have all been fake, phony, transactions?

We have two generations who are terrified of actual love(its highs and nadirs) that have made money off of championing false renditions of it for so long that none of their definitions make sense or stand in the face of it… and they’ve had kids they didn’t want and barely raised that have all safety nets regarding flinging yourself in to love hanging in shreds before them. All their lives they’re surrounded by tropes. Their SM has them cheering for “relationships ” as phony as a4 dollar bill…and they can’t tell.

The most bittersweet part is that they want what they see to be real. It’s so surreal to watch them not know a pair is faking it… because they believe the tropes…and actually are truly happy SOMEBODY is getting to get the chance to experience it. It’s not even chalked up as hope in these kids. They aren’t coveting that expression of love, fake or not.

They’re just like 🥴🥹 over seeing some semblance of the trope “out there” walking around. They’re still romantic…and didn’t yet hit the cynical flip that destroyed so many genXers.

They’re as surgically removed from the gritty balls deep beautiful gauntlet of love that, in some ways…it makes total sense that Ai is singing directly to their hearts.

And it’s not just Love. Even their hatred is hollow .

so… there were 1 million residents of Chicago in the 1890 census. The world’s fair of 1893 supposedly hosted 27 million people across six months. There were only 67 million people in America at the time, and 7.5 million were Black, who were refused the chance to exhibit at it and many boycotted it.

And only 8000 car owners existed by 1900 (gilded age hilt). MOST of the population of America couldn’t afford food to feed their kids and sold them into farm labor, let alone train rides to the world’s fair. There were not enough hotels in chicago to house 27million visitors, possibly even today.

They’ve been lying for a very long time.
